Have you ever had something so strange happen to you that you stopped and wondered if it was just a coincidence, or something intentional, like some larger mechanism at work?

Humans currently only really understand cause and effect.

But, cause and effect are just one way that events are linked.

What about all of the other possibilities? The other ways that events and people and situations and everything in our world we see and do not see, understand and do not understand, are linked to one another? Bound to one another?

We only really understand the rules of science, but science imposes limiting questions on nature and thus nature returns specific, narrow answers. But nature has to be much bigger than that. This is me paraphrasing Carl Jung (Synchronicities).

If you’ve ever read David Bohm (Wholeness of the Implicate Order), this might all seem very commonplace to you. Maybe even a puzzle perhaps that we should solve.

But before I start talking about quantum physics, I want to take a moment to appreciate the vastness and the neverending mysteriousness of our universe. This is what I try to capture here – how strange, magnificent, wry, interesting, and beautiful it all is.

This is a running tally of the many coincidences of my life. They are all true stories, and stranger than fiction.

Some might frighten you with their creepiness, some will make you laugh, some will make you question if I’m telling the truth because it’s that uncanny (I am, every single time), and some may even make you wonder if the universe is just fucking with all of us.

I’m just along for the ride.

And, perhaps even you and I will meet one day, and you’ll have your own significant place in these stories.

Because I do believe that you and I are somehow linked – by what, I don’t know yet – but I think we’re closer than we imagine.
